Personality~>
Maria is a pretty laid-back person, well most of the time. It wouldn’t be a difficult task to get her irritated. When angered, she’d get a bit loud and cynical which can be a nuisance to some people, showing her sarcastic and threatening side. If it was among comrades or fellow shipmates though, it would usually be in a form of harmless banter. She is often seen as the confident type, absolutely loving any sort of challenge made available, sometimes accepting them without a second thought. When it comes to any kind of treasure, she tends to become quite greedy and would do whatever it takes to attain them.

Despite the whole tough and negative exterior, Maria does have some good qualities in her. She highly respects those who are far superior to her. Now sometimes she can be a tad proud, but she definitely looks up to her captain and would follow his commands to the crew’s victory. Initially, Maria doesn’t usually put her trust on anyone until she knows them really well and is positively sure that they are trustworthy. Although she tries not to show it much, she cares deeply for her comrades, defending them till the end.

Biography~>
Maria had a pretty active childhood. Her father, Illion Callisto was a great gunner, and being his daughter, she was trained to handle guns, pistols and all that sort at a young age. Her mother, Ciara never liked the idea of her only child picking up such dangerous artilleries. She desperately wanted Maria to be more ladylike, always picking out gowns for her to wear. However, Maria detests being pampered in that manner, not liking to be treated like a ‘proper lady’. So due to that, she honestly preferred spending time with her father.

She often followed Illion on his scavenge for valuable items, which are usually then sold for a profit. They both enjoyed each other’s company, Maria occasionally practicing her shooting under her father’s supervision. One big flaw to that was she might not be able to handle close combat. Life was pretty much perfect, until one day when her parents started arguing out of the blue. At first she thought nothing of it, since it was a pretty common sight. But as the days went by, the couple built more and more hatred towards one another that they completely ignored her very presence and always told her off harshly whenever she tried to intervene. Maria knew she would most likely lose it if she had to live with them for another day, so she simply left when she was fourteen, and travelled around on her own in search for an adventure.

After a few years had passed, Maria had grown into a skilful gunslinger, not having a clue of her parents’ current status, nor did she bothered to find out. She had a bad reputation among the people at some places she visited though, for reasons she failed to understand. It was probably because of her swinging her pistols around while she walked, looking as though she would shoot anytime.

When she reached 22 years of age, it didn’t occur to her why she found pirate life interesting at that time. She always wondered what it’s like travelling through the seas as she had only ventured the lands. Plus her love for treasure hunting only intensified her urge. As soon as she heard about that great Stone of Suenos, she immediately made up her mind and eventually joined Raul’s crew, giving a bit of a gun show to impress. And that was when she found out how Raul disliked guns, so she promised not to get all trigger happy unless it’s necessary. From that day on, she was a pirate and proud to be one.

~> She wears a red band with the cult’s insignia on her upper left arm.
~> Her pistols are like her personal treasures. They are of great value to her and she takes pride in using them every time.
~> May get overly protective over fellow crew members at crucial times, Raul in particular.. since he’s the captain and all.
~> Has a habit of scratching her head when she’s annoyed or stressed out, sometimes so much that she would use both hands…and look like a monkey >.>
~> She loves having some good time fun once in a while, but not the over-the-top sugar-hyped kind of fun, which she does NOT find amusing.
